    Mpc 4500 "please wait"

    Hi Guys,
I have please wait displayed and the machine will not come to ready, also the fax option is not available, i cannot even access sp mode as it just beeps when i press copy sp. i disconnected the hard drives and it came to ready, i could use the fax mode and i could copy. I am going to swap the hard drives with fingers crossed, but could it be anything else?

before disconnecting the fax module its much easier to unplug the hdd first, this will get rid of the please wait and give you the fax functions back.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Thanks for the input guys, I did find the answer on ricohs tier 2 site, that described the fault i was getting exactly, HDDs (pair) sorted the problem.

Not long after i had another machine doing the same thing and it turned out to be the 12v line on the psb ( i think thats all the 12v line is there for, the hdds)
