    [Misc] SC 503 MPC 28/33

    Hi!

Just got a call that a MPC2800 shows SC503. Lift tray from the LCT. I solved it by telling the customer to unplugg the powercord.

Since this can just pop up out of nowhere, is there any other solutions for this problem?

    /Best regards!

    Possibly paper behind the tray?
    Lift motor?
    Sensor?

I have seen a number of cases of this intermittently, it has been the little black gear under the left side lct tray - the d shape in it wears down and it intermittently stops shifting the stack accross - particularly when the left side is full.
