    Ricoh 2238 skew

    Hi guys,
Im getting a skewed copy from all trays, it seems to be paper skew rather than trapezoid etc, i have increased the buckle to 5mm, but that did not help neither, apart from replacing the attraction roller on the transfer belt, any further suggestions?
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

Have a good look at the registration roller. I've had a AF3228 with the same problem. It turned out that the rubber on the registration roller was deformed. Replaced the roller and the problem was gone.

Also, check that the V transport door is latching properly.

Are internal test patterns also skewed?

I've had this caused by the transfer belt unit, specifically the area where the paper first contacts the belt & is fed under a thin foam roller. If this roller isn't perfectly straight or applies uneven pressure it can cause a skew.
