Sounds like there's a memory DIMM that's gone bad or loose. Try re-seating all the memory DIMMs then re-flash the firmware. If that doesn't do the trick then try replacing the memory. -
That's the controller board, I've had 3 do it. Replace it and you'll be fine.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

must the controller be replaced? Is it not possible that someone know how to reset the

Some 3350's don't come with hard disks. Updating the firmware won't cure the fault as the board failure makes the machine unresponsive to dip switch 1 being enabled, it will just code with SC672.It's 106 miles to Chicago.
