Ricoh MPC 7500 - SC670
We are getting SC670.
Can someone advise us. How to reset this code or its remedy.

Tryed to look it up in the service manual but dident find anything on SC670.

Engine startup error
SC670 D
1. Engine does not respondwithin 30sec after power on.
2. Engine down detectedsuddenly during power on andwarm up.

�� VBCU installation incorrect
�� VBCU defective
�� Sudden communication reset
occurred between the VBCU and the Controller

You shou8ld be able to reset it by powering the copier off completely with the switch on the front, not the control panel, wait 15 -30 seconds, and power it back up again.

Jonhiker is correct in the description of the SC670. I would update the System/Engine firmware.

Like jonhiker says: This code doesn't need a specific reset procedure. If it's coming back after turning the machine off/on you have to dig into this. Re-Connecting all cables/connector on the bcu and controller boards and rewriting the firmware is probably a good start.

no need to reset sc 670



the code mean that there is no comunication between the bicu board and the controller board. installing the bicu board firmware may help to fix the problem but sometimes is hardware issue from the bicu or controller.
