[Error Code] Xerox WC M24 Code 10 398

We are starting to see a lot of faults 10.398. This is related to a fan however there are three fans in the machine that can generate this fault code and so it can be troublesome to identify which fan is causing the fault. The fans generate a "locked rotor detection signal" (LRDS) which is something like a 3volt signal. How it works exactly i do not understand. has anybody found a cheap easy fix for this problem or even establish a way to cheat the "LRDS"

In most cases it's Fuser fan. Just replace it.
You might think that it's working, but it has two speeds.

      This is another solution.
After calls from customers and 10 398 code, I smashed one of this fans (you can't dissasembe it) and found that one of SMT resistors got overheated. Place marked on picture.
So, you can tear off some plastic until you see this resistor and just resolder it.
I did it on couple fans over a year ago and they still work.

Fuser fan. Just replace it or repair (bojans post).

I faced the same error. The fuser fan operates only with low speed. Its need to be replaced.
