Doc 250 IBT belt won't stay center

Meter count 218K black + white, had 042-326, checkpoints hit edoc (clean IBT sensor, silver strip, re-center, belt edge adjust - failure) so then removed old belt, cleaned all rollers, checked bearings for rollers (good) then put in a new IBT belt centered it, belt edge relearn through nvram sub sys - "completed with error" message on copier display....open and close front door, power down then up - goes to 042-326 again. Look at IBT belt and it is not centered as it was when installed. The belt seems to be sliding out of position.

Don't know how all rollers are good. Any ideas?

Going to reset 741-106 nvram to zero (reads -8 now) then try a belt edge relearn again. Then I reckon by the home siver sensor next. Will use PWS to check sensors first....

Any suggestions appreciated thanks in advance.

        Adrianisto

So you post a link to our thread whereby you did not help with any suggestions at all which is of absolutley no use to any one and think I am the bad guy? Sorry, but I am busy and your post(s) in that thread you put a link up on were useless. My tech has the PWS and edoc I am just in sales trying to help him out when he gets stuck. So, guilty as charged.

I think it may be the attitude in which you respond to others. Just a guess.

So did you visually check sensor like Milo suggested?

Yes, we looked at belt edge sensor the arm is seated and play on arm with spring tension is normal, the silver strip is clean. I went ahead and ordered a new one. Then if that doesn't work try the transfer belt home sensor.

Well my apologies to Adrianisto I may have read a post placed by someone else and attributed it to him. I am always doing three things at once and I probably read it wrong.

Vey well Adrianisto. Confirmed - rollers are spotless top to bottom and the ends of rollers, too. Sensor spotless - used a q tip and no residue of any kind anywhere. There was one very very small spec of residue, and I mean very small, on inside back wall of sensor but that is it.

What firmware level are you at on the machine? I read somewhere that there was a fix for that issue in one of the upgrades.

Select close at top right of screen and should take you back to main then select machine status button on keypad under the edge of screen. When you get there there should be a machine software icon on screen. Touch that and will show you all the firmware levels. Usually just need to know the cont. version
