    PLAYSTATION EMULATION

I took the time to digitize my collection of ps2 games and play them from my computer via pcsx2 and an adapter cable for my ps2 controller...
I also downloaded a ton of roms for pcsx2... very fast play... you have a bit of configuring todo but once you get it working you are good...

close to 70 ps2 games on pc

playstation portable has an emulator thats awesome ppsspp... its smooth as silk... and there are a ton of games... most games play as smooth as an xbox 360... occasionally you find crap... not as often as you would think... but out of the box... its pretty good to go...

100 plus psp games on pc

only issue common to both emulators is you have to calibrate your controller... thats about it..

my pc specs i5 8gig ram 1 gig video card... 3 terrabytes of hard drive space...

    Re: PLAYSTATION EMULATION

I was playing wipeout on epsxe, playstation 1 emulator on Ubuntu mate 18.04, then upgraded to 20.04 and it no longer works.
pcsx2 still works as well as before but wipeout fusion is a lot harder.

      note your settings...
      then try the settings below...
      epsxe wipeout settings

      if that does not work...
      go back to old settings...

      then

try other games and see how they run...?

if any game works... then you know you have to configure epsxe... if none works then you know something broke...

      next step...

take note of all your settings... and your bios...

try uninstalling and cleaning out all traces of epsxe... ubuntu lets you do that...

      reboot...
      then reinstall epsxe fresh...

try with a couple of games... see if that does it... if not

test and reconfigure... based on your old settings...

      if nothing then try

      epsxe ubuntu setup guide

      worst case try other emulators

        @n25an

Thanks pcsxr which is in the repositaries works fine but is slow to load the game, note the game works fine, but epsxe was just a lot better, faster loading and a games library.

I think some system libraries got removed when I upgraded to Ubuntu 20x cos it didn't think I needed them but it seems epsxe did. As a matter of interest epsxe was never installed just download and run the exectuable hah something like this.

        ePSXe205linux_x64$ ./epsxe_x64
./epsxe_x64: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
