The closure of an OfficeMax on Miller Road is part of a plan to close hundreds of stores nationwide, the parent company said Wednesday, Aug. 26. Office supply retailer Office Depot, Inc., bought rival OfficeMax in 2013 and the company plans to close about 400 stores across the county over the next several years, said Office Depot spokeswoman Julianne Embry. The OfficeMax at 3650 Miller Road closed on July 4, Embry said, adding that it was a part of 100 store closures in the second quarter of 2015.
