Underwriters Laboratories, or UL , the world's largest safety testing company, has opened a furniture testing lab in the Holland area that is intended to be a flagship facility. "UL is dedicated to building a Furniture Center of Excellence in Holland, Michigan, which is the geographic center of office furniture manufacturing in the U.S.," said Alberto Uggetti, vice president and general manager of UL's Furniture Business Division.
