The Wall Street Journal is reporting that "Staples Inc. and Office Depot Inc. have agreed to a Federal Trade Commission decision to extend its review of Staples' planned $6.3 billion deal to buy its office-supplies rival by nearly two months." The FTC's decision is now expected by Dec. 8. The two companies and the commission's antitrust enforcers had previously entered into a timing accord that could have required the FTC to render its decision by early this week.
