Office Depot stock is rising 2.73% to $3.39 in afternoon trading on Wednesday after the company decided to hire more seasonal and regular employees for the peak sales months of July, August and September. The Boca Raton, FL-based office supplies retailer expects to hire 8,000 associates for the back-to-school season, about 33% more than last year as the company expects high customer traffic.
