With Toshiba completing its plan for notebook outsourcing in 2009, the title of the biggest supplier will pass from Inventec to Compal Electronics, which is expected to have estimated shipments of around seven million units, according to a Chinese-language Apply Daily report. Although losing its top spot, Inventec next year will retain the same level of shipments it had in 2008.
