Office Depot, which is trying to reinvent itself as a business solutions company, on Wednesday reported a 5 percent decline in fourth-quarter sales and a 7 percent decrease in 2017 sales, compared with the same periods a year ago. The Boca Raton -based company, best known for its Office Depot and OfficeMax office-supply retail stores, recorded a quarterly loss of $48 million, or 9 cents a share on sales of $2.6 billion.
