Sharp Named to EPEAT Green Electronics Registry

MAHWAH, N.J., Aug. 5, 2014 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC) today announces that EPEAT, the definitive global registry for greener electronics, has added 28 Sharp Multifunctional Printers (MFPs) and two printers to its product registry as of the date of this release.
By providing environmental ratings on electronics, EPEAT helps companies, governments and consumers easily identify and purchase greener devices for improved environmental benefits. EPEAT rates products on a lifecycle basis, addressing the elimination of toxic substances, the use of recycled and recyclable materials, design for recycling, product longevity, energy efficiency, corporate performance and packaging, among other criteria.
