Wal-Mart has lowered its prices for Panasonic 42-inch PDP (plasma display panel) TVs by nearly 30% from US$1,794 to US$1,294, a level close to the that of second-tier LCD TV brands in the US, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).
