A whistleblower and more than 1,000 California public agencies will share $68.5 million from Office Depot under a settlement approved by a California judge. Former Office Depot manager David Sherwin, who died of cancer last year, accused Office Depot of violating the California False Claims Act by overcharging public agencies for office and classroom supplies by failing to give the agencies the "best price" called for in their contracts.
