    holiday work rant

So recently i have been in an accident, rear ended then got pushed to the front. With that I continued working through the day, with some demands i be on time in some appointments. (i was in an accident, assholes)

Then a few other things went wrong with the car after repair, so it went back to the shop all the while during the inconvenience on my part I continued working WITHOUT DISRUPTION.

    /end backstory

Few days ago my car's battery/charge light started to show, i thought it was just low battery because the car has been sitting for about a good month. Turns out it wasnt so. On the way home lastnight the car died multiple times, no power steering, rpm barely alive with traffic and after about 45mins of waiting on the pullout i venture home slowly. So I txt and left voicemail said i couldnt start early because my situation (the car is bloody unsafe to drive, morons).

Noticed that I said "couldnt start early." That means I still had intention to work if or when the fix done, i dont care if I have to work the full day on 24th.

I've had issues with this particular man since i started at this place and over the last 5 years i've TRIED to understand, and I've learnt to go with the stupid small shop ego antics/politics. Yes, I have my flaws, but no i dont deserve the following. *There is a machine with colour quality issues, but they arent down, and I dont care because at this moment MY BLOODY SAFETY FIRST. Its not like with we dont have another guy available, he always camp one tech in the shop to help with his own work load. (I mean ALWAYS)

This morning, the conversation is roughly as follows.

Scenario: I went to my dealer early (6:40am), first in line and waiting to see if I can squeeze in for a spot for repair...

    On the phone:
"i'm getting such negativity from you, i'm feeling bad about this. you are not looking after your car."
    - i just spent 3500 on my car this year, work on my own brakes/hub bearing/struts/control arms, tell me i'm a bad owner.

"why dont you look for for a shop with a curtesy car"
    - coming from a guy who owns a Lexus hybrid

"I'm counting this as a vacation day"
-take it asswipe, if it makes you feel better. Its a half day, i'm being penalized for a full bloody day? I've dragged on as long as I can and the car went down on the day that would pose the minimal impact throughout the year, and you're pining on me?

    BRAVO

when a guy is down, beat him up more.

    Re: holiday work rant

That stinks. And by stinks, I mean the nasal equivalent to the air horn on a railroad locomotive.
I hope things shape up for you.
And for what its worth, Merry Christmas.
