        why i would vote for McCain

        fixthecopier you should read 11-13 is this the taxes you are talking about?
        the reason i would vote for McCain is simple
        More reasons than i can state here but here are a few.
        McCain vs Barack
        1. Favors offshore oil drilling (Mc=yes B=no)
        2. Will appoint judges who interpet the law not make laws. (Mc=yes B=no)
        3. served in armed forces (Mc= yes B=No)
        4. amount of time served in the US Senate (Mc=22 years B= 174 days)
        5. will institute a socialized health plan (Mc=no B=Yes)
        6. supports abortion (Mc=no B=yes)
        7.supports gun ownership (Mc=yes B=no)
        8. Supports Homosexual marriage (Mc=No B=yes)
        9.Proposed programs will mean a huge tax increase (Mc=no B=yes)
        10.voted to give social security to illegal immagrants (Mc=no B=yes)
        11.capital gains on selling a house (Mc=no B=yes)
        that means if you sell your home and make a profit you will have to pay
        28% of your gain for taxes if you vote for Barack
        12.inheritance tax (Mc=No B=yes) that means if you vote for Barack you will have to pay a nasty inheritance tax which most cant pay so you end up with nothing wow that's change)
        13.Barack proposes new taxes on homes over 2400 sq ft. new gas tax, new tax on retirement accounts and new taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same medical treatment as other countries receive
        wow! is that the change you want?
        This info is taken from websites including
        Taxes: Election Center 2008 - CNN.com
        Shared Views but Also Contrasts in McCain, Palin Energy Policies - America’s Election HQ
        and a few more.
        Personnaly i want to keep my guns, same sex marriage is absurb and if passed will have to rewrite every text book, school book and every document we use daily to say its ok. to tell the children its ok, Its not OK! bathrooms will no longer be private, sex education will no longer be about male and female. The Bible says Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. The woman is the helpmate of man. I dont have anything against the people who practice this form of sex except for that. And the fact it should not be made legal. That would mean its ok for Johnny to play with Bill instead of Jill. Most are real nice people, but something is wrong here. you need a family unit. That means a man and a woman then child. a young child needs both genders growing up. That's where i stand firm when it comes to our childrens future. If your voting for Barack just to bring troops home think again, we will be fighting on our own soil if that happens. All we have to do is wait for the enemy to come. There is more issues in life than just bringing troops home. And the change you will see if you vote for Barack is the change in your pocket, thats all youll have left.

          Today, I would vote for McCain. I agree that health care needs to be reformed, but Senator Obama's plan smacks of socialism which does not set well with me.

          I am intrigued with Senator Obama's ideas and the programs he proposes, but I have heard no solid idea on how to fund these programs ... which generally means a manipulation of the current tax laws which would take from other fundamentally sound programs. A promise that 90 or 95 percent of Americans will pay less in taxes is a smoke screen.

          As for putting an end to our involvement in Iraq; I am certain both candidates will deliver on that. Senator Obama might treat the issue with more urgency, I will give him that, but looking at the whole package I would not cast my vote on this issue alone. (I have a 19 year old in the Army, and I want him home like anyone else with children in the armed forces)

          A big issue with me is one that is not discussed much publicly, but it is the issue of basic moral values. I like the idea that Senator Obama seems to believe common ground can be achieved on issues of abortion, same sex marriage, teen pregnancy, sex education to minors, involvement of churches in politics, etc ... However, when common grounds are NOT achieved then I do not like where he is left standing.

          Many people seem to be of the opinion that Senator Obama is the first African-American nominated for the presidency. I like the idea of breaking down discriminatory stereotypes, but it should be pointed out that Senator Obama is only half African-American ... that does not make him an African-American candidate. I would have a little more confidence in the democratic party if that point was publicly made, and I find it an insult of American intelligence that they allow that particular scharade to carry on.

          No, I would vote for McCain if the elections were today ... but I am still listening at this point.

            Since you brought it up, what I know about the tax plan of each man running is from a study where what each man has stated for the record was put into play and looked at as if it were in place. The end result was that Obama's plan cut taxes for everyone making less than $250,000 and McCain's did cut tax but not as much as Obama's. McCain plan cut taxes for the rich, gee what a surprise. For me to believe every right wing scare tactic about how much my taxes are going to go up, I could look back at all the adds and see that the liberals have raised my taxes by about 500 billion dollars over the past 20 years, but somehow I manage to pay them on my small paycheck. And did I miss something, or have we not just had 8 years of right wing rule. I did not notice my taxes going down, or my government getting smaller. However I have noticed the price of everything going up. I know, I know, he would have done all that but those evil liberals stopped him.
            By the way, you do know how Bush has spent 1 trillion dollars on a war without raising taxes, don't you? He has borrowed about 800 billion from red China and Japan. Just think what that will do to the value of our dollar in a few years. I almost hope that McCain gets it or Obama will get blamed for the mess that will happen when the note comes due.
            We already have inheritance tax.
            I do not understand why gays getting married would make text books be rewritten??????? Gays have been doing what they do since the dawn of time and I can't find one example of how it has mattered in my life. As a matter of fact, I have so much going on in my life, I do not have time to worry about men kissing let alone want laws passed to stop it. People who want to pass laws to tell others how they should behave in thier personel lives scare me. That is the complete opposite of less government.
            Nobody wants your guns.
            Being in the Military does not make you a leader, I work for the Army and Air Force and know this first hand. My father did 22 years, 2 tours in Nam and lots of medals, but he shouldn't be president either.
            I can make it real simple, I do not like the last eight years, and McCain voted with Bush over 90% of the time for the whole eight years.
            I could go on and on but you can't change my mind just like I will not change yours, but it is nice to be able to be different and still be the same, if you know what I mean.

                Amen to that, brother. When the elections are over, and no matter who is in the White House, we are all still Americans, and good Americans who only want what is best for our country. That is the 'sameness' that makes this country so great.

                      I am sure there are a lot of ways I could say this, but someone will be pissed no matter what I say, so I will try to make it simple.

                      republicans- are for religion in government, [not everybodies, just thiers]
                      pro gun, against gay rights, for lower taxes,
                      democrats- are still pro religion in most cases, but don't want thier
                      preacher to be president, for gay rights[most] and will tax
                      rich to pay for social programs, want gun control and
                      public health care.

                      The real truth is you cannot tell us apart in a room, we do not shoot at each other or blow up each other. Hard line members of each party get mad that thier party is not hard line enough and so they go and vote for the other side, if that makes any logic. And it is not uncommon for people to switch sides as thier own issues that are important to them in thier lives change. Another thing is that when outside forces try to fuck with us we forget our differences and come together as one... just like family!!

                      My belief is that we should do away with parties and just vote fo people!!

                        Fundamentally democrats believe that government should cater to the needs of the people, and republicans believe that people should be more responsible for their own needs.

                        Democrat = liberal = more government involvement
                        Republican = conservative = less government involvement

                        ON THE RIDICULOUSLY EXTREME
                        Democrat = ideal communist
                        Republican = ideal anarchist

                        No person is really ALL one or the other since both ideals are necessary for a democracy to actually work. Fortunately for our democracy, these differences only seem to become an issue during an election.

                          I am writing in Donald Duck. Because no matter weather it Dems of Reps, our children & grand children are still f%^$)d with having to pay the national debt created by both parties.

I believe that every American whether Democrat or Republican should know what is in the constitution.
