Justice is funny like that as you and I would be in jail right now because we lack the power and financial resources that our elected leaders possess.
In fact, you answered your own question. Pence and Biden were not charged because they cooperated. All Trump had to do was give shit back, he refused for over a year, then they raided the place. Not to mention trying to move the documents, delete the security video, etc....also known as obstruction of justice.

In Trumps case he KNOWINGLY took these documents, refused to give them back, then tried to hide them and cover it up. <-----This is the huge difference between the 2 cases Trumps ego is his own worst enemy rivaled only by the stupidity of what comes out of his mouth. These cases are a result of crimes, with evidence to back them up. Also, the prosecutor for the Mar A Lago raid was a Trump appointee, so is the director of the FBI, AND the judge would approved the search warrant, you guessed it, also a Trump appointee. Not that it matters as they will simply be called "Rinos" by the majority on the right.
This is also how plea deals work. Witnesses are given immunity or a reduced sentence for COOPERATING, even though they have committed crimes.
