In one week, besides impeachment news, it was revealed:

1). President Trump stopped further US Navy freedom of passage sails through the Black Sea next to Ukraine so as not to upset Russia.

2). President Trump ordered that the US Special envoy to Ukraine not be replaced after the current envoy Kurt Volker resigned in opposition to US policy. The special envoys job was to make it easier for the US to facilitate aid to Ukraine.

3). President Trump recently ordered US troops in Syria to vacate one of their bases without destroying it. One day the US flag went down. The very next day Russian troops entered the base and raised their flag and slept in the very same rooms that US special forces slept in the night before.

4). President Trump tried to impede the shipment of much desired Javelin anti tank missiles to Ukraine for fear of upsetting Russia. Ukraine is currently in a hot war against a Russian backed separatist army.

5). President Trump allegedly tried to coerce Ukraine to investigate a totally debunked story that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered with the US 2016 election. This disinformation theory has been confirmed to have been solely advanced by Russian military intelligence.

6). The White House blocked a statement of condemnation from the US State Dept against Russia for attacking a Ukrainian ship and taking its sailors prisoner in Nov 2018.

7). Ukraine now feels very much diminished in its ability to resist active Russian aggression against it territory as it is no longer sure that the USA has its back. Russia is constantly looking for any signs of weakness from the West as a signal to increase its attacks on Ukraine.

All of the above actions, initiated by President Trump, directly benefits Russia.

Why is he doing this?

Ukraine is the front line in the West's battle against Russian expansion against democracy.

Why is he doing this?

Ukraine is the front line in the West's battle against Russian expansion against democracy.

1). It was "canceled" in December 2018 after CNN portrayed the maneuver as "antagonistic toward Russia" (good ol' CNN making shit up again), but was soon carried out in January and AGAIN in February. So your statement of "Stopped Further Sails going forward" is False, and so is "didn't want to upset Russia".

2). They aren't going to Continue the "position" because they feel other Officials who's portfolios already include Ukraine can handle the duties going forward. Kind of goes with Trump's "shoring up" strategy, Why pay another person to do what these other officials already have the capacity to do.

3). This is an exaggerated statement on your part. When U.S. troops vacated their bases, it is reported that they were destroying vehicles and other "unidentified equipment", ANYTHING remotely "sensitive" was completely destroyed per protocol, and very few items were left over. The base itself not being destroyed is what has come under "scrutiny". It gives the very few ISIS fighters left a possible fortification, but I didn't see anything about Russians doing what you said (source?), but I wouldn't doubt that they would.

4). The Javelin missiles and monetary aid were delayed, as said before, because of the corruption of Ukraine and the Uncertainty of the newly elected President. They wanted to make sure that 1). The corruption was to a minimum and to make sure that the new president wasn't corrupt 2). Make sure that Ukraine wouldn't "stiff us" after the aid was sent. Nothing to do with "upsetting Russia" as you state.

6). Old news (almost a year old), not "just revealed". And Trump ultimately did condemn them for that. As did many other officials.

1). I am glad to read that the US NAVY has resumed freedom of passage operations seven times this year in the Black Sea despite President Trump wishes.

2). Kurt Volcker, former US envoy to Ukraine, will testify tomorrow at the Trump impeachment hearings. We will wait to see what he says.

3). A lot of senior US Republican senators publicly denounced Trump's draw down of troops in Syria.

4). The Javelin missiles will give Russia pause before they attempt to advance armored vehicles further into Ukraine. The Javelin missiles are at the heart of Trump's impeachment proceedings.

5). OK. You can believe Russia. I believe in the written opinion of the entire US intelligence community.

6). OK. I am glad they were eventually condemned.

7). Until President Trump is no longer in office can any country count on the USA having their back anymore?
