Why is the vote count taking so long? In several states, including Pennsylvania, Republican legislators blocked attempts to allow election officials to begin counting mail ballots before Election Day, as Jamie Dupree of Cox Media Group has noted. States that did so, like Florida, were able to announce their results much more quickly.

States that did so, like Florida, were able to announce their results much more quickly.

In many states, Democrats prefer to vote by mail. It takes time to open, count and verify the signature on each ballot.

To some extent, Trump's many personal rallies helped him before the election. His supporters were willing to wait long hours in line to see him in person. These same voters were were willing to wait long hours in line on election day to vote in person.

Nevada's deadline for accepting mail in ballots is Nov 10 with over 200,000 ballots to be counted.

As of this AM, Trump is on the knife edge of officially losing the election with no path to 270 Electoral college votes.

Still doesn't add up. Something is very very fishy in this election. You can't sit back and think that "everything is normal". Suddenly during the overnight hours Biden gets 100% of all votes counted??? PUH-LEASE!! Media calling Arizona at 50%!?! Which prompted the governor to come out TWICE and say "Whoa....Fox/ AP..you need to retract that stance, because there are still many votes left to count."
You're going to tell me that California can count 12 MILLION ballots in less than 2 days, but Nevada can't count 2 million in 4 days??
Or that New York could count 6 million on the first night/morning, but Arizona still hasn't finished with their 3 million-ish votes....?
And why is it that these states suddenly get "Special privileges" during this election while others don't? Allowing up to 9 days after election time to receive mail-in ballots!!?? If you couldn't get your vote in the mail before election time, then your ballot should be thrown out! Same goes with the "signature/ballot correction" BS, wherein you're allowed to "correct your ballot" up to the 12th of November and No later than the 16th!!! WTF!??. Again, if you didn't read the instructions and do it properly, then that ballot should be tossed!

You need to get your facts straight.

Depending on the state, overnight, Biden in some states got upwards of 70% of the vote.

Biden currently has a very small lead in his home state of Pennsylvania. If he wins that state, he becomes President.

If President Trump can produce proof that there were voter irregularities, he needs to show them because all odds are now that Biden will become the 46th President of the USA.

Election laws are different for each State and so is the day of when mail in ballots can legally be recieved. Just because YOU don't like the results.

He's right. Each state has different laws. Problem is that some states changed the rules before the election without going to the state legislator to change the law. I expect the election to be called for Biden but this is headed to the Supreme Court. I'm about over all of this. It's exhausting.

I do not expect the election results to be finalized before Nov 15th. The winner will likely be known by Monday.

I think this election might have rec'd the most voter ballots in US history.

I would not expect the US Supreme Court to hand Trump an election victory if he loses the Electoral College. The Supreme Court has already declined to take up a few Republican law suits challenging the election process.

Trump has already lost Congress and the 2020 popular vote.

You're wrong. Some states (can't remember which ones) changed the voting laws without going to the state legislature. Governors and mayors can't change voting laws without the state legislature.

I do not expect the election results to be finalized before Nov 15th. The winner will likely be known by Monday.

I would not expect the US Supreme Court to hand Trump an election victory if he loses the Electoral College. The Supreme Court has already declined to take up a few Republican law suits challenging the election process.

You don't understand how our legal system works. The supreme court refused to hear a few legal challenges from team Trump before the election because they like to defer to the states if possible. BUT THEY DID NOT RULE ON THE MERITS OF THE CASE. i

In fact, the supreme court had some states separate votes that were received after a certain date and said that Team Trump could come back and ask the court to rule on the merits of the case after the election.

I'm not saying the court will hand the election to Trump, but I believe it will go to the court.
