I don.t need to Google the Constitution. I have had a copy on every computer I have had since Michael Reagan first made it available to download from his website. But then I have told that before so you memory is failing.

You seem to fail to understand how the government works.

1. There needs to be an investigation by an Independent Counsel appointed by the Justice. That can takes months.
2. Once the Independent Counsel issues his report, it then needs to be redacted by the AG so that no classified information is made available to anyone who does not have the needed security clearance.
3. It then has to go through weeks of committee hearings.
4. Then based on the committee reports a charges document can then be drawn up and voted on.
5. To pass in the House will require 218 yea votes. Pelosi only got 216 for Speaker. If the same number of Democrats decide to vote present again it fails.
6. If it ever gets to the Senate, it will require 67 Senators to vote to convict. That would require 17 Republicans to vote Yea.

With the Democrats now in control of the House and Senate, they are confident that they have the votes to pass an impeachment resolution.

The Republican party is no longer a solid voting block as many members have indicated they will vote for impeachment.

Trump did incite a violent riot that left five people dead.

With the Democrats now in control of the Senate, they can dictate both the rules for an impeachment vote and the timing. At least three Republican Senators are seriously rethinking their allegiance to the Republican party.

Trump's best bet to avoid time in a Federal prison is to resign on the condition that VP Mike Pence becomes President and issues him a Federal pardon.

You do realize that the same charges could legally be brought against the majority of the Democrat politicians. The call for Vice President Pence by Queen NanNan can easily be considered Treason or since it is during peace time Sedition. The Democrats encouragement of BLM and Antifa are in fact subversive activities. Had Lesley Stahl's interview of Nancy Pelosi taken before the current House Session started there is a definite possibility that she would no longer be Speaker. The time has run out for her to be able to do anything before the 20th.

The Senate procedural rule requiring 67% of the Senators to vote for impeachment does not mean that it is 67% of the entire 100 member Senate.

It means 67% of the Senators present in the room at the time of the vote.

Should any Republican Senator decide to simply stay away at the time of the vote that increases the likelihood of a successful impeachment vote.
