That bloke is definitely a hero. Him and many others are doing a very dangerous job in a place that (often) doesn't really want them there. That is the trouble when you get poisonous idealogies (from both sides) involved in something like this. I know it is a bit late now, but was invading Iraq such a good idea? I think some of the problems with 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' is they often fight under a banner such as Islam but have actually strayed so far away from their original beliefs they have no idea what or why anymore - just kill, kill, kill. The other problem, sometimes, is some people know no better - they believe unquestioningly what they are told, and from a young age - so from this you get you suicide bombers and such. Will successive US (and other) governments learn from their mistakes? (such as supporting Saddam in the 1980's, Bin Laden, etc.) ***I doubt it.*** We, as humans, continue to make the same mistakes time and time again. Lets hope and pray that the procession of body bags will eventually make the politicians see sense.

          Have a merry Christmas.

          Kendall.

Well put Wagon! too many people are dying for a reason that changes every 2 months. History will not look kindly on all parties involved with this mess.

The only flaw in your statement, wagon, is the bit about politicians seeing sense. They dont. Only dollars. Other than that, very well said.
