Excuse me? I am a Danish national and you are mistaken. "Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate" is the correct translation.

How much research did you put into that statement? Are you sure you are right about the other countries?

And America retains her firm grip on sanity. Need you any more evidence that America is the greatest country in the world?

OK. I should have said "referenced in" and not "referenced as" the formal title.

Changes in climate were over thousands of years, not hundreds of years.

LOL!!!!! It's debatable. Both the sanity and the level of greatness. Haha.

Re: Do you believe that Climate Change is real and caused by mankind?

With three strong hurricanes, wildfires, hail, flooding, tornadoes and drought, the USA tallied a record high bill last year for weather disasters: $306 billion.

The US had 16 disasters last year with damage exceeding a billion dollars, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Monday.

That ties 2011 for the number of billion dollar disaters but the total cost blew past the previous record of $2015 billion in 2005.

Costs are adjusted for inflation and NOAA keeps track of billion dollar weather disasters going back to 1980.

"While we have to be careful about knee-jerk cause-effect discussions, (many scientific studies) show that some of today's extremes have climate change fingerprints on them," said University of Georgia meteorology professor Marshall Shepherd, a past president of the American Meteorological Society.

The increase in billion-dollar weather disasters is likely a combination of more flooding, heat and storm surge from climate change along with other non-climate changes, such as where buildings are put, where people move and how valuable their property is, said Deke Arndt, NOAA's climate monitoring chief.

Still, it's constantly changing. No one really knows how fast or slow thousands of years ago. This could be the norm for the planet.

The summer of temperature extremes just keeps going with record heat waves this month on all four continents that occupy the non tropical Northern Hemisphere.

Scientists have been warning that heat waves are a consequence of warming the planet through greenhouse gas emissions.

"The impacts of climate change are no longer subtle" said Michael Mann Director of the Earth Science Center at Penn State University.

"We are seeing the impacts play out in real time in the form of unprecedented heat waves, floods and wildfires."

An exceptional stretch of heat in Dallas - Fort Worth has brought four consecutive days with record highs hitting 108 or 109 F each day (42-43 C).

July has seen 41 heat records set across the US but zero record minimums.
This lopsided tally has become the norm as climate change has tipped the scales far in the direction of warmer temperatures.

2018 is the hottest La Nina year on record according to the World Meteorological Assoc. and with La Nina fading away and El Nino likely to take its place, things are only going to get hotter.

I live in Alaska. we haven't had an "Alaskan winter" since about 2012. 2 winters ago it snowed 2 times all winter. Summers have been about the same as normal, but winters just keep being cold with limited snow.

Do you blame it? Look what is happening in this neighborhood!

The distance it is moving is I believe just over a inch per year, in cosmic terms that is virtually nothing.

This is not the first time this has happened but the USA keeps getting hot-er and hot-er.

5 straight days Dallas Fort Worth average 43C. Ouch! That's hot!

On a positive note El Nino, seems less likely to spawn massive destructive hurricanes this year into the Caribbean and southern USA this year.
