Most of the things pointed out are things people can verify. What exactly do you have trouble believing? That Fusion GPS and the writer of the dossier is not in bed with the Russians? That the dossier was paid for by an opposing political interest? That the dossier was used, without being corroborated, by the FBI to get a warrant to spy on a presidential candidate's team? That the warrant was renewed, over and over again, solely on the dossier's information, which still is uncorroborated and unverified?

Could be bias... I would think anyone reading it or knowing of the contents would be biased against that kind of corruption.

Carter Page was ALREADY under Surveillance. This was a renewal. It was NOT the ONLY source used to renew the FISA warrant.

Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page bragged that he was an adviser to the Kremlin in a letter obtained by TIME that raises new questions about the extent of Page’s contacts with the Russian government over the years.

After convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power, the FBI and Justice Department obtained a warrant to target Page’s communications sometime after he parted ways with the campaign in August 2016.

"In order to understand the context in which the FBI sought a FISA warrant for Carter Page, it is necessary to understand how the investigation began, what other information the FBI had about Russia’s efforts to interfere with our election, and what the FBI knew about Carter Page prior to making application to the court – including Carter Page’s previous interactions with Russian intelligence operatives," Democratic members of the House Intelligence Committee said in a statement following the memo's release.

South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy said the recently released, controversial GOP memo alleging FBI abuses of its surveillance authority does not have "any impact on the Russia probe," and even without the Steele dossier, there would be a Russia investigation.

"There is a Russia investigation without a dossier," Gowdy said in an interview that aired Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation," days after he announced his decision not to seek re-election.

"To the extent the memo deals with the dossier and the FISA process, the dossier has nothing to do with the meeting at Trump Tower," Gowdy said. "The dossier has nothing to do with an email sent by Cambridge Analytica. The dossier really has nothing to do with George Papadopoulos' meeting in Great Britain. It also doesn't have anything to do with obstruction of justice."

The fact that you can't speak for yourself tells us you have no thought--only the ability to pass on rhetoric.

Russian hackers hunt hi-tech secrets, exploiting US weakness

Russian cyberspies pursuing the secrets of military drones and other sensitive U.S. defense technology tricked key contract workers into exposing their email to theft, an Associated Press investigation has found.

The hackers known as Fancy Bear, who also intruded in the U.S. election, went after at least 87 people working on militarized drones, missiles, rockets, stealth fighter jets, cloud-computing platforms or other sensitive activities, the AP found.

Employees at both small companies and defense giants like Lockheed Martin Corp., Raytheon Co., Boeing Co., Airbus Group and General Atomics were targeted by the hackers. A handful of people in Fancy Bear's sights also worked for trade groups, contractors in U.S.-allied countries or on corporate boards.

"The programs that they appear to target and the people who work on those programs are some of the most forward-leaning, advanced technologies," said Charles Sowell, a former senior adviser to the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence, who reviewed the list of names for the AP. "And if those programs are compromised in any way, then our competitive advantage and our defense is compromised."

Russians penetrated U.S. voter systems, says top U.S. official

The U.S. official in charge of protecting American elections from hacking says the Russians successfully penetrated the voter registration rolls of several U.S. states prior to the 2016 presidential election.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Jeanette Manfra, the head of cybersecurity at the Department of Homeland Security, said she couldn't talk about classified information publicly, but in 2016, "We saw a targeting of 21 states and an exceptionally small number of them were actually successfully penetrated."

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Former President George W. Bush said on Thursday that “there’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled” in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

While never mentioning President Donald Trump by name, Bush appeared to be pushing back on Trump’s decisions on immigration, as well as trying to have warmed relations with Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin “is zero-sum,” Bush said at a talk in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. “He can’t think, ‘How can we both win?’ He only thinks, ‘How do I win, you lose?'”

Bush said it wasn’t clear if Russia’s “meddling” directly affected the election, though he said it was clear they tried.
“It’s problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election,” the former president said.

The decision to block the Democratic memo is a political risk for Trump, who claimed the Republican-authored version vindicated his claims of unfair political influence in investigations at the Justice Department. He approved the release of the GOP memo over the objections of FBI Director Christopher Wray, according to a person familiar with the matter.

So far there has been very little political risk to trump. He is surrounded by people who don't want to be fired or tweeted about so they just look they other way every time he shows his true colours. And his supporters are defending him because to them having a republican in is more important than having an ethical person in charge.
Here, out leader continues to put himself in ethically questionable positions. Nothing big, but little things add up over time.

That makes as much sense as illegal aliens voting. Last I heard, only California's voter rolls got hacked, and that was because California had crap security (unsecured Mongo database of voter registration).
