If something is obviously an ad. Stop clicking on and/or commenting on it and the person posting will likely stop. Ads work on views.

Lookie-loos are everywhere. They see a thread title that they don't understand and they have to check it out. Report the post as spam or illegal advertising and hand a red card on the poster. I am not sure where aneurysm is right now, I haven't even seen him reply to newbies, but when he gets back, he will scrub the post and black ball the poster.
