Well, if you must know, I honestly don't believe anyone should have a statue.
John A MacDonald was one of the architects of Canada's residential school system, along with the catholic church, that took children from indigenous families and subjected them to mental, physical and sexual abuse.
He certainly doesn't deserve a statue.

Ahhh, the Catholic Church and their covered up evil past that they do not talk about, nor their parishioners, now that would be an interesting subject for this thread, "Let the truth be known."

And that is just the tip of the iceberg! My father and his sisters attended in a prominent Catholic school back in the early 50's...boy, do I have some stories.

I also "attended" totally voluntary tho.
(I had the hots for a girl there) their school was 1/4 mile away and I had a very 'flexible ' schedule so to speak.
The nuns were TOUGH... the the priest was tougher
