I try to avoid Google search as much as possible. They politicize their results far too often. My default search engine is Yahoo and my backup is DuckDuckGo.

Startpage.com is good too. I was at one time called ixquick.com.

I am personally not a fan of facebook but I am currently using it for opensource intelligence... use it to find information about things that you need to know...
1. where to find facemasks?
2. open restaurants if any
3. toilet tissue sources.... heh a man's gotta wipe...
4. anything else that you might need to know...

join facebook groups... for city, town etc... its like your local barbershop of information...
its an extremely realtime resource...

thats the upside...
downside of facebook... they own all your posts and make money off it... so if its making money they won't let you delete it short of you deleting your account... and they have been known to use account holders pics in their company ads...
you signed rights to protect those things away in your eula...

that being said... its a useful resource...

I hope you are not using an iPhone or other such device. It is the best way that I know of to get your account and device hacked. As for the other items mentioned, if nextdoor, We're Sorry: 404 — Page Not Found — Nextdoor, is available in your area it is far more helpful. You will be seeing posts from those in your neighborhood and nearby neighborhoods. Shopping services such as Instacart are also helpful. You can select a store from their list of stores they work with and see exactly what the store has right at the moment.

I join very few groups. They can be a major pain in the tail feathers. Anytime someone posts to the group, you get a notification. If you then go the notification to see the post, it takes forever because the entire group page opens and not just the post. Anytime someone post a message to the group, you will not only get that message but every time anyone answers the message.

I have no problem deleting anything that I have posted or commented on Facebook. And unlike CTN, there is no time limit on when I can do so.

Hard to believe that a doctor during a serious period of a pandemic would be removed from critical service for speaking up.

Its the same here almost everything is shut. I think almost the whole world does not trust the statistics released by China, so drastic action is called for. The UK population has followed the rules, the weekend just gone saw almost no-one outside despite good weather.
