I remember this song when I was about 7 years old. My father was a hell of a pool player, he used to take my to the "Neighborhood bar" in Huntington Station. He gave me some money to play some songs in the Jukebox and Johnny paycheck was one of yhe choices..' I will never forget that night. My dad was and still is a top notch pool player and hustler at 78 years young.Comment

I'm originally from Bastrop Louisiana. That's about 7 miles from Mer Rouge, Louisiana. There's a girl named Becky White that's from Mer Rouge. Hang with me, I'm almost done.
Hank Williams Jr. married Becky White. He used to come to Mer Rouge to duck hunt every winter. As a teenager I worked at gas station and all the duck hunters, including Hank, would gather there every morning on the way to the duck camp and I met him several times.

SSG is everything that I despise about liberals. They look down on truckers, waitresses, construction worker, ect. He knows nothing about these people. He just "knows" that he's better than a long haul trucker. He feels superior. That's why he worships at the alter of big government...he thinks people are too stupid to think for themselves and need to be told what to do. What did liberals do that was so offensive to the Republican party? I'll tell you what they did. Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act. What did Conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things. Every one. So when you try to hurl that label at my feet - Liberal - as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work, because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor.
