no you missed my point... the loss of doses was not on delivery of the product BUT rather mishandling of the product once it got to the STATE level...
SOME OF THE LOSSES were due to INTENTIONAL actions.. one report (haven't found an update) it was an employee that was a staunch Trump hater ( like some here ) that employee left out over night 750 doses of the vax.
others have left out 300-659 doses FOR THE SAME REASON! These type actions put in risk American Citizens and there are a few that are under investigation for said actions.
others just didn't follow SOP on the handling of the product.
BTW love your selective paste and copy...Comment

Glad to see you admit that Trudeau failed Canada on the vaccine rollout.
Dr. Isaac Bogoch, an infectious diseases specialist affiliated with the University of Toronto, told CTV's Your Morning on Wednesday that, while Canada has "picked up the pace" on vaccine deployment, he would like to see a speedier rollout.
"Yes, things are definitely better, but you cannot have vaccines sitting in freezers. This is a crisis. You've got to get these into arms as quickly as possible," he said.
"It's the middle of January. We should be a well-oiled machine at this point in time."
At this pace, it would take 5,800 days to give every Canadians two doses of vaccine, meaning the final shots would be given in 2036.
In 29 days, Canada has given enough COVID-19 vaccine doses to cover 1 per cent of population | CTV NewsAdversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
OTTAWA—Canadian authorities are scrambling to make up lost ground in their quest to vaccinate vulnerable people against Covid-19, after an initial rollout that many public-health officials are criticizing as slow and disorganized.
While Canada was quick to order vaccines and approved the use of the shot developed by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE in early December—two days before the U.S. authorized it—the nation has fallen behind several of its developed-country peers in administering vaccinations.
Just over 0.5% of the population of the U.S.’s northern neighbor was vaccinated as of Wednesday. By comparison, the U.S. had vaccinated 1.6% of its population by that date, and Israel had inoculated more than 18%, according to Our World in Data, a nonprofit research project at the University of Oxford. The U.K. had vaccinated about 1.9% of its population by Jan. 3, the latest date for which vaccination numbers were available.
Public-health experts say Canadian officials have struggled to move vaccine doses quickly from industrial freezers where they need to be stored to long-term care facilities where elderly residents are among the first designated inoculation. The rollout has been complicated by a decentralized health system run by individual provinces and territories and by Ontario’s decision to pause vaccinations in the country’s most populous province for two days during the holidays

... for the latest facts
The latest numbers on COVID-19 vaccinations in Canada as of 10:30 p.m. ET on Monday Jan. 25, 2021.
In Canada, the provinces are reporting 23,498 new vaccinations administered for a total of 839,949 doses given. The provinces have administered doses at a rate of 2,216.267 per 100,000.
There were zero new vaccines delivered to the provinces and territories for a total of 1,122,450 doses delivered so far. The provinces and territories have used 74.83 per cent of their available vaccine supply.
The figures are compiled by the COVID-19 Open Data Working Group based on the latest publicly available data and are subject to change. Note that some provinces report weekly, while others report same-day or figures from the previous day. Vaccine doses administered is not equivalent to the number of people inoculated as the approved vaccines require two doses per person. The vaccines are currently not being administered to children under 18 and those with certain health conditions.
Please note that Newfoundland, P.E.I., Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the territories typically do not report on a daily basis.Comment

Why SCOTUS is dismissing emolument cases against Trump
Washington (CNN)Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert, said Monday evening he was extremely worried by former President Donald Trump's dangerous April suggestion that ingesting disinfectant could possibly be used to treat Covid-19.
"I just said, 'Oh my goodness gracious.' I could just see what's going to happen," Fauci told CNN's Erin Burnett on "Out Front" of Trump's suggestion.
"You're going to have people who hear that from the President and they're going to start doing dangerous and foolish things, which is the reason why, immediately, those of us who were not there said, 'This is something you should not do.' Be very explicit. The (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) came out, I think, the next day and put in one of their publications, 'Do not do this.'"
At an April White House news conference, Trump had mused about whether disinfectants could be used to treat the virus in humans -- asking whether there is "a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning."
He later falsely claimed he was being sarcastic and that he was prompting officials to look into the effect of disinfectant on hands -- not through ingestion or injection. But the comments prompted cleaning product companies and state health officials to issue warnings about the dangers of their ingestion.
And Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, said at the time that his state fielded hundreds of calls from people across Maryland asking whether injecting or ingesting disinfectants was an effective way to combat coronavirus.Comment

That is a direct liberal news lie. You are in Canada. Maybe in Canada the problem is with the Canadian government. I don't know about Canada because I am in the Democrat controlled state of California. Shipments of vaccine have been getting to California state officials with no problems. It is after those state officials have them that the slowdowns and mishandling occurs!Comment
