A work colleague showed me the announcement from Boris last week and was actually quite alarmed that we are now just expected to live with it with no more guidance from the government, its quite sad how this has gripped some people over the past couple of years.

... an informed person in the UK now has lots of tools easily available to them to help protect themselves from inconsiderate other people. I still expect lots of UK employers recognize the many liabilities of having unvaccinated employees and take their own steps to protect their business independent of the gov't.
What is happening in the UK and the USA is not the same as what is happening in Canada even though infection rates are far lower here. Here public safety always overrides personal freedoms. COVID rules are very much still in effect.
COVID's impact is expected to continue for at least the next six to eight months with the future past that unsure. Basically, if COVID was a baseball game we are only in the 3rd inning of a nine inning game.
