    Kobe Bryant dead

    NBA legend, RIP Kobe:
Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant dies at 41 in helicopter crash | NBA.com
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

    Re: Kobe Bryant dead

Sad day for sports. He was a hero and idol to so many, myself included.
Being a father of 2 (soon to be 3), I can't imagine what that family is going through. Really Feel for his daughters. If you have kids, HUG THEM OFTEN!! You never know when your time will come.
I brought out my old #8 Kobe Jersey for the first time in a long time (got it in 1998), and hung it outside on our small flag pole that hangs off the porch in remembrance.
Shooting a wadded up piece of paper (or anything) into the garbage can and yelling "Kobe" will be a slightly different feeling now.

    RIP Black Mamba!

Kobe was far from being a diva.

He represented so much more than just basketball.

You didn't need to be a sports fan to appreciate what he brought to the world.

        He will be sorely missed.

I pray for him, his family, and the others who were on that fateful flight.

I said i don't watch pro sports because of DIVAS. show me where i called Kobe one.
Far to often we take athletes.. TV/Movie stars.. politicians and paint them as heros or idols. For what? Did they sacrifice life and limb for you or your freedom? Do they have sound advice for us on: lifestyle.. love..health?
No we are pressured to agree with them or be deemed : uninformed.. losers..worthless. Funny I didn't blow 14 million on drugs.. whores.. lawyers to keep me out of prison, after I beat my wife.. or get caught up in dog fighting.

You didn't, at least not directly. I totally agree that too many celebrities do fall into that category. "Access to Excess", as it has been called, can be an overwhelming temptation to bring out the worst in a person.

And yes, he made a mistake, back in 2003...but who among us is perfect?

We all contribute in different ways. Sports teams can bring a feeling of elation, hope and unity when they do well. Their standouts become the face and focal point of the team's success. A winning team brings many millions of dollars into the local economy.

I live in the Cleveland area. It's hard to describe the feeling that came over this entire area when LeBron and the Cavs won it all in 2016. It's now almost 4 years later, and it still lives on. Kobe did the same thing for LA...several times.

LeBron's impact will be felt for many years to come, just as I am certain that Kobe's will be.

I have never liked the Los Angeles Lakers and some of their players like Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabar. Kobe was different. I liked the way he experienced life and encouraged everyone to do so also.
