Re: Biden is President of the US... Now what?
So, you can't define what makes a country racist? Figures. You want to argue that Canada isn't a racist country but you can't define what that is. By the way, here's what you actually said:
"There is definitely a systemic racism issue within the RCMP, our national police force, and likely other police forces."

Yup, I did post that. And because of what I posted you now believe that all Canadians are in the RCMP? Is that how you came to the conclusion that "Canada is racist? That's quite a stretch.Comment

Is America a racist country? Is this where you refuse to give a straight answer? You usually run when I ask a tough question or your don't give a straight answer.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

I know there is racism within the US.
That's about as straight an answer I can give to your crooked question.Comment

Re: Biden is President of the US... Now what?
So, you feel that there's racism within both Canada and the USA but you won't call either a racist country. I can respect that. But that means that you disagree with Black Lives Matter. You need to call out BLM for saying that America is racist.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

And, as usual, you didn't answer my question.Comment

Re: Biden is President of the US... Now what?
I've been setting you up the entire time to answer that question but I needed to get you on record first. That's called debate skills.
As far as what I think? I don't think the USA or Canada is a racist country. Is there racism in both? Sure but there are also black people that are racist.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Biden is President of the US... Now what?
Does that bother you? If it does, does it also bother you that black folk feel that they can say anything they want about the white culture? People act is if one race can only speak on their own race. I don't buy that.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Biden is President of the US... Now what?
Here's your problem.
Black people constantly speak to the white experience. They say we're all privileged. They say that all white people are biased against black people even if we're not aware of it.
I believe thinking like yours is dangerous and it's designed to shut down debate. In your world, a black person can say anything about my race and that's okay, but I dare not comment on his experience because that offends you. Makes no sense.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

you say I say you understand the black experience... but your silence speaks volumes... I can explain the black and the white experience even with subtlety... I am just trying to see where you are coming from... but you say I am trying to shut you down... when I am only trying to see what gives you the right to speak to the concept of racism... what has been your visceral understanding of it... you must have watched... read... listened or spoken to somebody... your ideas must have come from somewhere... are you afraid to just lay it out... dont' be afraid... I will speak to your knowledge but first I want to know your knowledge and the depth of it...

I see. There's not enough time in the day for me to explain that. Lets start with the fact that I graduated a school that was 90% black. My best friend growing up was black. I'm originally from Louisiana, dude. Northeast Louisiana to be exact. No shortage of blacks there. Now I live in South Mississippi. No shortage here, either. I've known blacks that were both crack dealers and college graduates.
Here's what I also know. There is no black experience. At least not one that all blacks experience. Blacks have different experiences like we all do. You trying to put all blacks in a box is highly offensive and I know some that would tell you just that. You need to check yourself.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
