Or more likely schools going back to teaching children proper gun safety and handling. When I was in schools in the 50s and 60s they actually did just that. We knew how to handle them safely. And an interesting thing, there were no constant reports of mass shootings. Just every boy from kindergarten up had at least a BB gun and most by high school had a caliber .22 rifle, shotgun or a deer rifle by high school. My high school even had an indoor rifle range in the basement. The only reason they quit using was due to lead buildup and the health department condemned room for any use it until proper lead abatement could be done and permanently as a weapons range.
