I have stated my opinion of Canada's vaccine rollout. Please feel free to go look it up. Do some real research and not just parroting others.

Outdoor clothing company Patagonia announced on Monday that it would donate $1 million to multiple voting rights groups in Georgia in direct response to the restrictive voting legislation that recently passed in the state.

In a press release, Patagonia celebrated the record amount of voter turnout seen in the 2020 election, reiterating the assessment made by many voting officials that they were "safe, secure elections."

"But instead of celebrating democracy in action, a group of lawmakers in Georgia and states across America are doing everything in their power to make it harder for their constituents to vote," Patagonia CEO Ryan Gellert said.

"Protecting our democracy is an all-hands-on-deck commitment that's ongoing. Standing in solidarity with Black CEOs and business leaders, I call on fellow CEOs to join in denouncing these attacks on our democracy and to do more than make a corporate statement," Gellert continued.

Gellert stated that the $1 million donation would be divided equally between the Black Voters Matter Fund and the New Georgia Project.

Gellert called on fellow business leaders to do three things: fund voting rights activists, send a letter to politicians calling on them to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and spread the message through their various business partners.

"Many of you have acknowledged that as business leaders, we must support all stakeholders and not just answer to shareholders," Gellert continued. "Let's show the world we mean it. Our communities and employees will have a more equitable chance to thrive when they have the ability to participate in the direction of our great country. Let's take action together for them."

Numbers, numbers, numbers. It all depends on where you get the numbers. Our World in Data puts the United States at 0.91% and Canada at .47% as of yesterday.John Hopkins University and Medical Coronavirus Research Center put the United States at 17.9% and Canada at 1.94% which just above the world average, Andorra at 1.64% is just below the average. Now I guess that Canada could claim that they are in the part of the world, North America, that has the most people vaccinated at 64,705,435 but of that 58,747,870 are from the Unites States and 1,174,175 are from Mexico. So when someone talks about numbers they need to post their source.

Trump inherited an energetic growing economy from Obama and rode his coat tails as the economy continued to grow.

Tesla low end models go for around 38k the average American can't afford that. CA is planning on going totally electric, BUT they can't even keep the power on to homes during peak periods, the charger system for the cars need electricity to charge the cars.
The Chey Volt goes for around 34k and they are having problems with the battery systems

The charging stations (at least here in NC) are few and far between... and most aren't the 'rapid charge' types.

The cheapest new Tesla on the market today is the Model 3 midsize car for $37,990, according to Tesla.comTesla appears to have killed that option. Instead, Tesla has dropped the official base price of the Model 3 from $39,990 to $37,990, and increased the battery range.

Over 500,000 people have signed up for ObamaCare coverage in an extra enrollment period created by the Biden administration, officials said Wednesday.

The Department of Health and Human Services said 528,000 people signed up for health insurance between Feb. 15 and March 31, in what is known as a special enrollment period, an extra sign-up period beyond the regular yearly window, aimed at people who needed coverage because of the upheaval caused by COVID-19.

The Trump administration last year declined to open an extra sign-up period, noting that people who lost job-based coverage were already eligible to enroll, but President Biden opened an extra period this year upon taking office.

The sign-up period is still going, lasting until Aug. 15, meaning that there is the opportunity for the number to climb higher.
