Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
You took the words out of my mouth. It's obvious that SSG has lived off the government dime for most of his adult life. From what I gather, he has no interest in becoming successful and/or rich.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
Exactly how is it obvious he has lived off the "government dime"?Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
I'm shocked that a Canadian is upset of being accused of living off the government dime. Y'all usually wear it as a badge of honor. You like that "free" shit, right?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Now, without the usual deflection, please explain how you concluded that SalesServiceGuy has "lived off the government dime for most of his adult life" .
You made the statement, let's all hear your reasoning for it.
Personally I can't wait to marvel in your brilliant deduction power.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
... of course, it is paid for by someone else.
Namely. the super rich and corporations that are "tax dodgers" plus an increase in the corporate tax rate from a historically, super low 21% to a 25-28% rate.
These proposals are extremely popular amongst middle class voters.
The average family earning under $400k per year will see no increase in Federal income taxes.Comment

... in other words, you made an assumption that makes you look like an ass.
I have worked everyday since I was 14 and have never rec'd gov't assistance.
Healthcare is not free in Canada. We pay for it via higher taxes on everyday purchases and personal income tax.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
Damn! You are such a disappointment. I was waiting for your grand explanation and all I got was your usual right wing talking points. Are there ANY original thoughts in your head at all? Or, more likely, you simply repeat everything you are told to.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
We do not have access directly to to SSG's business records but I have a feeling that large portion of his income comes from Canadian government contracts without which he would be out on the streets as a beggar. Is the same true for you?Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
It is well documented that a single payer healthcare system costs the individual less than an insurance based healthcare system.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
Allow me to explain to youu how your healthcare system works. It is free for many. I'm talking about those that don't work or don't make enough money. It's all free to them. The reason it's free for them is because those who actually work are paying for it. And the more you earn, the more free-loaders that you're paying for.
Are you really that big of an idiot to not understand this? Nevermind....Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
