Liberalism is old and obsolete. Every coulple of decades some idiots decide to try to sell Americans on socialism. That's all liberalism is. It's socialism in a new package. Socialism has failed all over the world and it'll fail in the USA, also.

You are kinda over simplifying things Phil. There are more things going on in Venezuela than just socialism. Their complete dependency on oil is a big issue. Political corruption is also big. To say that socialism is the only problem in Venezuela is a little disingenuous

U.S. sanctions, and a combination of economic mismanagement and corruption at the top have contributed to the economic collapse." Why Venezuela Is in Crisis - HISTORY

About those US sanctions, lets see when they started. "President Barack Obama signed the Venezuela Defense of Human Rights and Civil Society Act of 2014, a U.S. Act imposing sanctions on Venezuelan individuals held responsible by the United States for human rights violations during the 2014 Venezuelan protests, in December of that year." Plan B has already started. Senate Staffers have reached out to the Parliamentary Secretary to get procedural approval to pass President Biden's agenda on Infrastructure without any Republican votes. Could be passed into law by August.

Same play as passing President Biden's COVID relief bill which proved to be both very popular and very effective in slowing the pandemic in the USA and restart the economy, all with no Republican votes. Many Republican politicians are so embarrassed by this miscalculation by senior leadership, that they tell their constituents that they support it and take credit for when they did not vote for it.

... good this happen in the USA when Republicans can be ignored!

this is what our founding fathers warned us about.

the spending is getting WAY out of hand... that's what the republicans are trying to reign in... our great great grand kids will be working their asses off to pay for all of this. Don't try and tell me they won't be.

.... no, America is tired of Mitch McConnell gaming the American political system all the time. Mitch has already said he would oppose this and any Democratic proposals.

So if Senate Republicans refuse to participate, ignore them.

Republicans lost the election. Duly elected President Biden now manages the country.
