Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
...I think the American people are tired of all of the drama around Washington and just want to get on with their lives. The last year, due in no small part to the very effective leadership style of Ron Klann, President Biden's Chief of Staff has proven to be a very good one for the American people with a lot of important legislate accomplishments achieved.
If the boo bird Republicans bring nothing to advancing the nation, the American people are prepared to leave them behind.
Also, finally the era of Trumpism has peaked and will likely never return.Comment

The provision that renames the San Francisco Federal Building the “Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building” is tucked 610 pages deep in the $1.7 trillion

... Speaker Nancy Pelosi deeply deserves this honor. She has masterfully guided Congress for many years and was the perfect foil to the ex President's often malignant ambitions.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
I would like to share this Christmas message with liberals from all over the world.
If you disagree with someone, cancelling them is not the answer. In fact, you're making the world a worse place by silencing people. As long as people aren't breaking the law, they should be able to say anything they want.
There's a reason that Freedom of Speech is the FIRST amendment.
If you start silencing folks because you're offended, then you're harming your country. The first amendment doesn't say....Freedom of Speech unless you're offended.
The way to counter a bigot, racist, or anyone that you disagree with is to make a better and more thoughtful argument.
Our society can't be so weak and soft that we fall apart every time we hear something offensive.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Unfortunately the rightwing continues to promote lies conspiracy theories and false information.
There you go wrapped in the Constitution but still support a ex President that attempted a COUPComment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
Well, you and your liberal friends should prove that these are lies. Lying isn't against the law. Neither are conspiracy theories. They've been around since the beginning of times. They used to burn witches at the stake for dealing in black magic. Churches used to kill scientists for theories that went against the church.
Silencing isn't the answer. Never has been.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Fine.
Tell me if the following is a lie and should be removed:
- Repent to Jesus or you will burn in hell for eternity.
Is that a lie and should it be removed?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

See, that's the problem I have with liberal. You refuse to answer a simple question.
What does science say about "Repent to Jesus or burn in hell forever"?
I'll be happy to answer your question as soon as you answer mine.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
