I should demand a raise - I had machines in hospitals - You will die if they can't come up with the right paperwork in triplicate

I think we should threaten to invent the paperless copier unless Congress bails us out.

Actually we are going about this all wrong. We should have our politicians pass laws that require all households to keep several copies of all records on hand, forcing people to invest in more copiers. WE now have lots of power because people are still stupid. Now we form a union and strike! We make outrageous demands and kill all who try for a paperless society. Techs are paid $150,000 minimum and all businesses must have priority parking for techs. If we band together with all the computer techs, we can RULE THE WORLD!

                Nope that's a Scanneer...I mean a paperless copier.

I know, I know. It would be so futuristic like the flying cars on the Jetsons.

                Jinkies!

Why the hell not! I can not imagine the look of costumer when i tell him that "today" is an international copier tech day LOL , Its nice we think about it and that show how much we have respect! for each others even if u are thousands miles( kilometers) away.

When i think obout it....that gives me strength, knowing that there is somebody like me doing the same thing and thinking very close to me.

We know how this job is demanding and heavy but we have very little respect from other non tech people and that is our problem.

One day we should all take out one screw from all the copiers, and take the next day off. After society fails and the populous has resorted to cannibalism we will remain to rule over them. Our common sense will make us the supreme race.

I made things very clear to all my salespeople right from the start: "If y'all go home and don't sell anything ever again I have a job indefinitely - in fact my job gets more critical the older the machines get - but if we go on strike it'll be less than a week before you can't sell shit! I think a little respect is in order."

Hate to burst your bubble of happiness, but there are a lot of techs out there already who do this and the world hasnt ended yet. LOL.

I think we should call it "INTERNATIONAL MACHINE TECHNICIAN DAY" - (why lock it down to just copiers). We should decide whether or not we want to work on that day and receive time and a half if we do. If we dont work on that day we should get vacation time. The nastiest customer we've had all year should buy us lunch (restaurant of our choice) and no one including the boss gets to be nasty to us on that day. How 'bout that guys? LOL
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
