... when another country elects to leave the US sphere of influence in favor of BRICs, unless China drops the ball, it will be very hard to get these countries to come back to the west.
Trump has cut off all US foreign Aid, which was a major US tool to keep countiries aligned with US interests.
USAID provided critical nutrional support to many struggling countries. In these countries their citizens need to eat now and cannot wait until someday Trump changes his mind. They now have to reach out to BRICS regardless of Trump's threats.👍 1Comment

America is tired of footing the bill for the rest of world. And that includes Ukraine and Canada. If Canada wants to step up, go for it. We know they won't.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Trump to squeeze NATO allies who aren’t paying what they owe, US’ national security advisor says
It’s payback time.
Some of America’s most critical NATO allies have been shirking their financial obligations to the alliance, despite years of bipartisan calls for them to pay up — and top Trump administration officials say they’ve had enough.
But 10 years later eight members are still failing to meet their 2% requirement — to the collective tune of more than $42 billion, according to a Post analysis of NATO data.
Those nations are:
Spain — spends 1.28% of GDP or $20.5 billion
Slovenia — 1.29% of GDP or $917 million
Luxembourg — 1.29% of GDP or $759 million
Belgium — 1.3% of GDP or $8.24 billion
Canada — 1.37% of GDP or $28.45 billion
Italy — 1.49% of GDP or $33.32 billion
Portugal — 1.55% of GDP or $4.47 billion
Croatia — 1.81% of GDP or $1.57 billion
Some countries, such as tiny Luxembourg have moved in the right direction — going from 0.47% defense spending in 2021 to its current 1.29% — others have gone backwards.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Trumpy needs all that extra money so he can continue his handout program for the ultra wealthy. He's gonna double down on that handout program so don't expect anything good to happen with all the extra money.Comment

Look, son, you don't pay taxes in America. It's not your money. What you need to worry about is Canada paying it's obligation to NATO. Or get the fuck out of NATO if you're not gonna take it seriously.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Do you even understand what you are saying? The 2% of GDP is for the military. Not for NATO. At least try to learn something before you start spouting off on it. SkippyComment
