I saw on the noon news that Justin Trudeau has announced a tariff on US products. Hey all you liberals. if Trump's tariff is going to kill the US economy. how much worse is Trudeau's going to be on the Canadian economy? Seeing as how the US the ability to produce domestically almost everything that we get from Canada. I doubt if the same can be said about Canada.

During remarks at a Wolfe Research conference last month, Ford CEO Jim Farley made it clear how President Trump's tariff proposals will affect one of the most prolific of Detroit's Big Three and any other automaker that sells to American motorists.
For weeks prior to the conference, Trump threatened 25% tariffs on goods originating from Canada and Mexico—save for a 10% carveout for Canadian oil.
"Let's be real honest: Long term, a 25% tariff across the Mexico and Canada borders would blow a hole in the U.S. industry that we've never seen," Farley said.

Another Bad day for Stock Market
The selloff extends a rout in US markets that has been driven by the uncertainty around Trump’s tariff announcements.
Trump indicated Thursday that he is “not going to bend” on the 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum, vowing that any resulting economic disruption “won’t be very long.”
“No, I’m not going to bend at all aluminum or steel or cars. We’re not going to bend. We’ve been ripped off as a country for many, many years,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
Markets dipped to their lowest level of the day after Trump’s remarks.
