Most Canadians are both grateful we do not live in the USA and are generally sad for what Amercians no have to endure as a result of your President's actions.

Every day these riots go on increases the chances that the Republican party will get blown out in the mid term elections and the Democrats will impeach Trump and remove him from office for gross abuse of the Presidential office.

        Only the beginning

Nationwide spread: Protests similar to those in LA are popping up in other major US cities, including New York, Chicago, Austin and Washington, DC. More demonstrations are planned this week and weekend. Texas is deploying the National Guard in anticipation.

This is exactly what trumpy wants. He is creating the perfect conditions for protests, and then he can pretend there are riots so he can bring in the army. He's very close to his dream of becoming a dictator.
I wonder if the magatrons will continue to follow him to the inevitable conclusion.

In the annals of American history, there is no parallel to tonight's unhinged remarks Trump delivered to soldiers at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Our nation has had the misfortune of suffering from Trump's belligerence for so long that we've grown inured to his recent rapid escalation. Tonight marks a dramatic escalation and the triumph of his political career. Trump's been eager to exact revenge on his domestic enemies, and he's been eager to deploy troops against them, according to members of the military high command who served under him.

As we've seen with history's worst dictators, the first step before atrocities, mass detention, and pogroms is dehumanizing one's opponents. Trump takes this to a high art and it was on full display tonight. Trump incited soldiers to use dehumanizing language against the mayor of LA and the Governor of California as if they are an enemy to be conquered. That these troops are cheering against democratically elected officials and millions of Angelenos who didn't invite them should demonstrate everything you need to know about how illegal, unconstitutional, and frankly treasonous this military occupation is. There is only one invasion in California and that's ICE, DHS, and now 5,000 US troops—more than Syria or Afghanistan.

He called the people of Los Angeles "animals" while riling up our own troops to hate them.

But he didn't stop there. He announced he was changing US military bases to the names of Confederate generals, the same handful of traitors responsible for the deaths of more American and union soldiers than anyone in our nation's military history. The US Army soldiers and high brass, without a word of opposition, gearing up to battle their own people, drunk on delusion, and proud to now reside with the names of their greatest enemies, all for the sole sick pleasure of a rapist and draft dodger.

IT IS HAPPENING HERE. RIGHT NOW.

What I can tell you is that you are not powerless. We are not powerless. As we've seen with dictators throughout history, if millions of people come into the streets, if we can strike and stop commerce, we can overwhelm any police state, and demand the end of this criminal regime.

Nothing else will stop their plans. If you love this nation, if you love your family, if you are sick and fucking tired of this tyrant dividing our communities, destroying our democracy, sowing hatred and chaos, and promising death and destruction while he blows up the economy, HIT THE STREETS!!

I know you're probably scared, I am too. We are all scared. But together, we can change the world and we can bring this tyrant to his knees.

Never forget we are the nation that defeated the British Empire on these grounds, we're the people who burned the Confederate slaveocracy to the ground, we turned the Third Reich to ashes. And we are the nation that can dust this diminished dictator. Drop everything you are doing and come out this weekend NO KINGS PROTEST, Saturday June 14 in every city and state.

Trump wants a Second Civil War. Let's give him a Second American Revolution.

Chad Hartmann, president of the food packaging company, said the front office was stunned by the aggressive nature of federal officials’ raid and confused by why the company was targeted.

“My biggest issue is: Why us?” Hartmann said. “We do everything by the book.”

The plant uses E-Verify, the federal database used to check the immigration status of employees. When he said as much to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who carried out the raid, they told him the E-Verify system “is broken.”

“I mean, what am I supposed to do with that?” Hartmann said. “This is your system, run by the government. And you’re raiding me because your system is broken?”

I honestly thought the US military would have the balls to stand up to trumpty dumpty. Apparently the thoughts of harming other humans is too appealing.

                      Nothing illegal yet.

Trump Administration will cross that line most likely at a college or at the mid terms as Republicans fear of getting wiped out in House and Senate

A pregnant U.S. citizen went to the hospital after immigration agents detained her

Cary López Alvarado, who's nine months pregnant, said that after being released from immigration custody she experienced sharp stomach pains and was hospitalized.

🚨 They lied. And it’s on video.
On Thursday, Senator Alex Padilla was assaulted by Homeland Security agents under Kristi Noem’s command. They dragged him into a hallway, threw him to the ground, and handcuffed him — all because he tried to ask the secretary a question during her press conference in Los Angeles.

Padilla is the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary subcommittee on immigration and border safety — the exact committee tasked with oversight of DHS.

Here’s what Senator Padilla said after the assault:

“I came to the press conference to hear what she had to say… At one point, I had a question. And so I began to ask a question. I was almost immediately forcibly removed from the room. I was forced to the ground, and I was handcuffed.”

                            He added:

“If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question… you can only imagine what they’re doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country.”

                            So what did DHS do?
                            They lied.
They claimed Padilla “lunged” at Secretary Noem.

                            Senator Patty Murray responded simply:

“This is a lie. We all saw the video.”

And yes — the video shows Padilla clearly identifying himself as a senator, calmly asking a question, and being violently tackled by armed security.

Meanwhile, Secretary Noem, standing on stage, said her goal was to “liberate this city” — meaning Los Angeles — from the leadership its voters chose. That’s not law enforcement. That’s a threat to democracy.

And just hours later, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer ruled that Trump’s federalization of the California National Guard was illegal and ordered the troops returned to Governor Newsom’s control.

That ruling is on hold until June 17 — and until then, Trump and Noem are in control of federal forces in California.

This is no longer about immigration. It’s about authoritarian power.

A U.S. Senator was tackled and handcuffed for asking a question.
Then the administration lied about it.
And they’re still holding military power in defiance of a court ruling.

If you’re not alarmed, you’re not paying attention.
