The United States added 147,000 jobs in June, beating expectations for the fourth straight month — the latest economic win for President Donald Trump and his administration. The June jobs report, released Thursday, shows growth across sectors as the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, its lowest since February. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt celebrated the news, and promised that the economy would continue to boom if Congress passes the One Big Beautiful Bill.“For the FOURTH month in a row, jobs numbers have beat market expectations with nearly 150,000 good jobs created in June,” Leavitt said in a statement on X.” American-born workers have accounted for ALL of the job gains since President Trump took office and wages continue to rise. The economy is booming again and it will only get better when the One, Big, Beautiful Bill is passed and implemented!”“This jobs market is like the Energizer Bunny,” CNN reporter Matt Egan said Thursday. “Every single time we expect it to run out of steam, it just keeps going and going,” one analyst said. “We were also expecting a slow down — we did not get that.”CNN: "This jobs market is like the Energizer Bunny. Every single time we expect it to run out of steam, it just keeps going and going.""We were also expecting a slowdown — we did NOT get that.""The unemployment rate was expected to go up — it didn't. It went DOWN."🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/glEpmwgFSX— Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) July 3, 2025Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz credited President Trump’s strategy for the growth.“Hats off to President Trump because this three-legged stool of his has really been powerful: the trade, the taxes, and deregulations together,” Ortiz told Fox News. “It’s all about jobs, job, jobs.”The increase beat both the 110,00 jobs projected by the Dow Jones and the later revised 144,000.The Bureau of Labor Statistics said there was little change in the mining, quarrying, oil and gas extraction, construction, manufacturing, wholesale trade, retail trade, transportation and warehousing, information, financial activities, professional and business, and leisure and hospitality industries since last month. The federal government lost 7,000 jobs, a total decrease of 69,000 jobs since January.Average hourly pay increased by eight cents to $36.30, a 3.7% increase since this time last year, the report said.Native-born employment is up more than two million since January, the Council of Economic Advisors said on social media. Foreign-born employment is down more than 500,000.“For the same months last year, foreign-born workers accounted for about 48% of new jobs,” the council said.A study from the Center for Immigration Studies, released in June 2024, found that the majority of employment growth since the pandemic went to legal and illegal immigrants, The Daily Wire reported. Although former President Joe Biden touted the millions of jobs created during his presidency, only one quarter of those jobs went to native-born workers.

Job growth extremely sluggish compared to previous years under Biden.

It amazes me how bitter you are over the politics of a country where you don't even live. Is it because the weather sucks so bad up there?

I will tell you the same thing I told bsm2 in another thread.

Either post a link where it shows the tax tables that prove it only benefits the rich. And while you are at it post a link to an article that proves only billionaires earn most of their income from tips. Then is the little matter how many individuals earning less than $500,000.00 a year own companies that employ thousands of people.

And if you believe those billionaires wouldn't replace all those workers with robots at the drop of a hat, you are seriously gullible.
You really are hung up on the tax free tips, aren't you? It's only income tax they are exempt from. All the other deductions are still removed.
Just for your information, Slim, a 5% reduction on a $60000 income is $3000. A 5% tax reduction on a $1,000,000 income is $50,000. Big difference eh? That's why using a percentage doesn't tell the whole story.

Not bitter. I'm just amazed at how eager the Maga brains are to give huge handouts to the people who need them the least. It truly is unbelievable to me.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you fantasize about people being eaten by alligators, there is something very wrong with you.

'A great nation is not judged by the number of billionaires it has, or by the tax breaks that large corporations receive. It is judged by how we treat the most vulnerable amongst us: the children, the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the poor' Bernie Sanders
