Recently, Mike Carney said he spoke with Trump and they made progress. However Canada has more tariffs now than when he came to office.

I think you are keying on one thing so you don't have to admit there were other extenuating circumstances that caused world wide inflation. Use you critical thinking skills. Don't just take what Donny boy tells you as the truth.Comment

So let's look at the Trump Administration Tax
So a 20 Percent Traffif on all imports
I promise to keep the math simple
So an item that cost 100.00 with the new Trump Tax will add 20.00 so YOU now pay 120.00 etc....
Sounds like fun
Let's do another
An item that costs 1000.00 under the New Trump Administration Tax will now add 200.00 so the item will cost 1200.00
Let's do another
An item that costs 10,000.00 under the New Trump Administration Tax would add 2,000.00
So the new cost would be 12,000.00

Oh, what a splendid day in the land of the free market! The Dow Jones Industrial Average took a graceful nosedive of nearly 700 points, settling at 39,669.39—a 1.7% drop. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq weren't to be outdone, falling 2.2% and 3.1%, respectively.
But fear not, for the Dear Leader has a master plan: tariffs, and lots of them. On "Liberation Day," he unveiled a dazzling array of import taxes: 145% on Chinese goods, 46% on Vietnamese products, 36% on Thai imports, and a modest 24% on Japanese items. Because nothing says "economic strategy" like arbitrarily slapping taxes on everything that moves.
These tariffs are, of course, designed to bring jobs back to America. And what better way to do that than by killing the CHIPS Act, a $52.7 billion initiative aimed at boosting domestic semiconductor production? The Dear Leader believes that avoiding new tariffs should be incentive enough for companies to build factories here. After all, who needs government investment when you can have government-imposed taxes?

But don't worry, the Dear Leader assures us that foreign countries will foot the bill for these tariffs. Just like Mexico paid for the wall, right? In reality, these costs are passed directly to American consumers, effectively acting as a hidden tax. So next time you notice your grocery bill creeping up, just remember: it's all part of the plan.
Small businesses, the backbone of our economy, are also feeling the squeeze. With increased costs on imported materials and no relief in sight, many are struggling to stay afloat. But hey, sacrifices must be made for the greater good, right?
In summary, the Dear Leader's economic strategy seems to involve taxing Americans, destabilizing markets, and dismantling initiatives designed to bolster domestic industry. But at least we can all take comfort in knowing that we're part of a grand experiment in economic nationalism. What could possibly go wrong?😎 1Comment

Here is why ,
A price hike is coming for folks with five or more lines on current plans and those still holding on to venerable plans no longer offered.
Show me any articles that mention tariffs .👍 1Comment

The only thing that tariffs would affect is the purchase price on a new phone and that only until Apple and Samsung finish building their new plants in the US. Intelligent shoppers will just wait until then.Comment
