Britain, France and Ukraine have agreed to work on a ceasefire plan to present to the United States, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Sunday as he prepared to host a summit of European leaders to discuss ending the war.
The summit has been overshadowed by the extraordinary scolding by U.S. President Donald Trump of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday for being ungrateful for U.S. support in Ukraine's battle against the invasion by Russia.

Zelensky will have to make a public apology for disrespecting the USA. And then the USA will control the peace talks. No other country besides the USA can enforce the particulars of any peace plan. The European countries have said this.

Sir Keir Starmer has announced a £1.6bn missile deal for Ukraine, following a summit of European leaders in London.
The prime minister also announced "a number" of allies had signed up to a "coalition of the willing", alongside France's President Emmanuel Macron, prepared to commit troops to the Ukrainian frontline in the event of a peace deal.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the meeting, where 17 European leaders and Canadian premier Justin Trudeau discussed next steps in securing peace for Ukraine.

The Lancaster House summit in London comes after a televised press conference from the White House, where President Trump told Zelensky he was not grateful enough for US support.

I don't think it's embarrassing at all. I think it's about time they pay their fair share. The US has been financing the bulk of the aid sent to Ukraine. I don't mind sending all the weapons they need but I don't think we need to be paying their salaries and pensions and who knows what else with cash.

I'm wary of trusting any country that gutted its military. You know who you are.
