AOC’s speech ignited the crowd, as she received thunderous applause and a number of standing ovations—especially when she said: “It looks like living wages, Utah. It looks like stable housing, Utah. It looks like guaranteed healthcare, Salt Lake City. And it looks like respect for all of our differences, no matter who we are or where we come from.”
“We do have power in this moment,” AOC stated. All of us do. You do. And every day people do. And it will never be just institutions and officials alone that uphold our democracy. It will always be the people, the masses—who refuse to comply with authoritarian regimes—who are the last and strongest defense of our country and our freedoms.”

Harvard is standing their ground against Trump and Obama is here for it!
Barack Obama is standing behind Harvard as the Ivy League giant stares down the Trump administration’s $2.2B funding freeze.
In a bold statement, the former president praised the university for resisting what he called an “unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom.” The standoff follows Harvard’s refusal to limit student activism in support of Palestine, despite pressure to restrict political expression on campus.
Trump’s administration retaliated by demanding sweeping changes — from leadership and admissions to club recognition and diversity policies — even threatening to revoke the school’s tax-exempt status.
With a $50B endowment, Harvard may be the only institution powerful enough to fight back.
