American taxpayers indirectly pay for the healthcare of illegal immigrants through various mechanisms. Hospitals often provide free or discounted care to illegal immigrants, and the costs are shifted to paying patients, which includes insured and uninsured American citizens. Additionally, federal and state governments provide subsidies to hospitals through programs like the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) program, which compensates hospitals for the uncompensated care they provide, including care for illegal immigrants.5
According to the Congressional Budget Office, Medicaid spending on illegal aliens has cost taxpayers over $16.2 billion since 2021.2 Furthermore, the federal government indirectly subsidizes care for illegal immigrants through Medicare DSH payments, which help offset uncompensated care losses without distinguishing between costs generated by illegal immigrants and those generated by American citizens or legal immigrants.5
Despite federal policies prohibiting direct funding of healthcare for illegal immigrants through Medicaid or Obamacare, Americans still cross-subsidize healthcare for illegal immigrants to the tune of approximately $18.5 billion annually.5 This figure includes federal taxpayer contributions of around $11.2 billion in subsidized care to undocumented immigrants.5
In summary, while illegal immigrants are not eligible for direct federal healthcare funding, the indirect costs of their healthcare are borne by American taxpayers through various means.

It's easy if you remove politics from the equation, most adults have a hard time with that nowadays. It's basic economics 101 someone has to pay for services/ supplies rendered it's really that simple.
Healthcare is not truly free in any country, but rather is funded through various means such as taxes or other contributions by residents. Many countries offer government-funded universal healthcare systems where most services are free or low-cost to citizens and residents. Examples include Botswana, Latvia, Russia, Serbia, Algeria, Seychelles, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Israel, etc.
In these systems, while the majority of healthcare services are provided at little to no cost, there might be nominal fees or copayments for certain services, especially in countries like Thailand and Botswana. Additionally, some countries require mandatory health insurance, such as in Azerbaijan and Indonesia, where citizens are entitled to free medical care under a national health insurance system.

He lives in the red state of Florida. He needs to move out here to the mostly Democrat controlled state of California for a year since he loves the Democrat Party. I'm sure he will love the highest income taxes in the nation, the highest fuel prices, the highest grocery prices and what about homeowners insurance if he can find a company that will insure in California.Comment
