Re: The War in Ukraine
Between 25 years as an Army Reservist and one year deployed in Iraq I have eaten a lot of MREs. Some are good and some not quite so good. When they first came out they had a lot of dehydrated items like the potato patty and the pork patty. We called them crunchy meals. The potato patty was like a dried out McDonald's hash brown patty. The pork tasted a lot like BAKEN-ETS pork skins. All full MRE meals contained at least something edible. At least they didn't contain any of the major problem items like were found in C-Rations, such as ham and Lima beans which we call ham and God damn its or the Beef steak that would make a good replacement for your boot soles. And both had their "Contains bean component. NOT FOR PRE-FLIGHT OR IN FLIGHT CONSUMPTION." By the time I was n Iraq they had introduced their vegetarian menus and included 2 or 3 in each case.Comment

They were specific in their needs/wants, they didn't get everything they asked for.
The EU area also pledged to send stuff, don't remember exactly what was promised.

... I am surprised you have not found a way yet to make it President Biden's fault that Russia invaded Ukraine.Comment

Re: The War in Ukraine
Just because you have never criticized Biden (or Trudeau for that matter) doesn't mean that mistakes weren't made.
The first mistake Biden made was indicating that it would be okay for Putin to invade so long as it wasn't a major invasion. You still haven't criticized Biden for that. Lemming.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
