House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she supports banning all Russian oil to the United States amid growing momentum in Congress to find additional ways to cut off revenue streams to Russian President Vladimir Putin.


"I'm all for that. Ban it," Pelosi said Thursday at a press conference at the Capitol.


Bipartisan members of Congress have been pushing legislation to ban oil imports from Russia and Republicans, especially, have been calling for more domestic oil and gas production in the wake of Russia's ongoing assault on Ukraine.

We need to know where copier addict stands on drilling. I just know he'll answer this one.

What you really need is a psychiatric assessment.

I think that until there is a viable alternative, we still need oil. However, if we continue to lean on oil the urgency to come up with a viable alternative isn't there. It's kind of a catch 22.

What about the urgency to not be beholden to Putin and other evil-doers? But thanks for admitting what I already knew ... liberals need oil to be scarce and expensive so that there's the urgency to go green.

What about Putin? I think everything we can do to make life uncomfortable for him should be done. Let's get the people in Russia protesting. Maybe he isn't insane enough to listen. It's doubtful, but maybe.
